Yes, if we are installing wood, laminate, tile over 150', and some vinyl products. Generally speaking, hard surface installation products have acclimation requirements. All wood, laminate, bamboo and vinyl plank products must meet specific acclimation requirements. You may hear the word "acclimation" a lot before we install your hard surface flooring. Basically, it means giving the materials time to adjust to the conditions of your home. Things like temperature and humidity can vary greatly from place to place. If we installed your new flooring without proper acclimation time, it could cause issues down the road once it has had time to settle in. Boards can gap or pop up with changes in those conditions. Different products require different amounts of acclimation time. Your Lowe's specialist can find out exactly what is needed for your product. Most products require just a few days, but some will require a few weeks!
Carpet and carpet padding will be delivered by the installer on the date of installation.
You will work with your Lowe's Flooring Specialist to determine if you will pick materials up at the store or have them delivered by Lowe's, but the materials must be there in the proper time frame or we will have to reschedule.
*ProTip: when the materials are delivered to your home make sure they are put inside in the area where it will be installed for the best acclimation. A garage won't do! If our installers arrive to find the materials are not where they belong, we will have to reschedule!
