Seams are not invisible. There are a lot of factors that can make some seams more visible than others. Certain plushy carpets, carpets with patterns, and even the way the light falls on the seam in the room, can influence how well you can see the seam. Talk to your Lowe's flooring specialist, when you are picking out your new carpet, about which type works well for the conditions in your home.
We are very concerned with making sure your seams are constructed properly. Below are the guidelines we follow set forth by the Carpet And Rug Institute.
Proper Seam Characteristics
With any seaming method, a properly constructed seam:
· has cleanly trimmed edges properly secured with edge/seam sealer
· has tightly abutted edges without gaps or overlaps
· maintains reasonable pattern match where applicable
· will not be invisible
