Think of it in terms of what you have or have not contracted us to do. The room will need to be empty for us to install flooring.
Did you pay for us to move furniture? If so, we will! If not, you need to have it moved before we arrive. Remember that even if you did pay for furniture to be removed and reset, there are items we cannot move like electronics, personal items, books, knick-knacks, clothing, toys, pictures, etc. We are only allowed to move the pieces of furniture themselves, not the things on the furniture.
Did you pay for us to remove and haul away any old flooring? If not, you need to have it all torn out before we arrive. This would include things like staples and bits of pad left from the old carpet, or residue left behind from old vinyl.
Did you pay for us to move appliances? If we are installing in a kitchen or laundry room with appliances, they need to be moved for the installation. If you are doing it yourself, please have them moved before we arrive.
Did you pay for us to remove and reset a toilet? If not, you need to have it removed before we come.
Do you have a pedestal sink? We do not remove and reset pedestal sinks, so, if you have one, please arrange for it to be removed before we come and reset when we leave.
Please also make sure your HVAC, water and electricity are running. Sounds kind of silly if it is a home you live in, but there can be surprises if it is vacant or you have renters there.
