Can you move my pool table?

We are frequently asked to move a pool table from one side of the room to the other during installation. Unfortunately, Ultimate Home Services is unable to provide this service.

For a stretched in carpet installation, we are prohibited from doing this as it is impossible to meet the manufacturer's warranty for installation.  For all other installation methods, this practice is strongly discouraged whether you are using Lowe's contractors or any other installation company.

Pool tables can weigh up to 1,000 pounds. Their bulkiness and weight make them a particularly difficult item to move. Their setup is quite precise and the slate can be easily damaged without the possibility of repair.  For these reasons, we strongly recommend hiring professional pool table movers to handle all aspects of the disassembly, moving and reassembly of the pool table.  Pool table moving varies by region but typically ranges between $250 and $500 from professional companies.

If you choose to move the table on your own, make sure you have many strong friends and be very careful!

Since you are getting new flooring, it is often a great time to replace the felt on your table with a matching color. Professional movers can often do this with relatively little additional cost.
