Does UHS Offer Carpet Binding Services for Stair Runners?

While we do not perform carpet binding in-house, we partner with trusted local providers to offer this service. Carpet binding is an elegant way to create a clean, finished edge on your stair runner, enhancing both appearance and durability.

Due to the custom and specialized nature of carpet binding, please note the following:

• Timeline: This service typically adds 2–3 weeks to the overall carpet installation process.
• Cost: Additional charges will apply.
• Process:
  • The measure technician will include the bound runner in the completed measurement that is returned to Lowe's.
  • After the install has been purchased and scheduled, the installer will cut the carpet to size in your home and install any non-bound pieces.
  • Pieces requiring binding will be returned to the warehouse and sent out for professional binding.
  • Once binding is complete, our scheduler will contact you to arrange the final installation of your custom stair runner.
