We do our very best to keep your paint in the same shape it was in when we arrived. However, the backing on the carpet is very abrasive and sometimes in a tight corner or with a large, unwieldy piece of carpet, it may touch the walls and baseboards. If that happens, minor paint scuffing can occur. So, you may have to do some touch up when we leave.
Another issue with paint can arise if the surface was not properly prepared before you painted. This usually happens with baseboards and trim that were painted over stained wood or old oil based paint without being sanded first. Remember, if you can scrape the paint off with a fingernail, it will likely scrape off during a flooring installation.
In general, you should be prepared for paint touch ups when we are finished. If you are planning for new paint as part of your project, we suggest you wait to paint until after the new flooring is installed.
