If you're installing new carpet next to existing carpet in a doorway:
- Our installers will heat the existing seam to release the seam tape, then create a new seam between the old and new carpet.
- If you're removing old carpet yourself, please leave the seam intact—let the old carpet run slightly into the room so installers have enough material to work with.
- Old or frayed carpet may not seam well. In such cases, we’ll discuss alternatives like metal transitions.
Where carpet meets hard surface flooring, we can also perform a turn and tack for a clean finish.
