Planning a flooring upgrade through Lowe’s? Here’s everything you need to know to ensure a smooth and successful installation experience.
Installation Day Services
Ultimate Home Services will:
- Move basic household furniture (approximately 4-6 pieces of furniture, per room, if purchased as part of your service).
- Removal and reinstall of toilets (if purchased as part of your service).
- Remove and replace electric appliances (available for purchase separately).
- Review warranty and product instructions with you.
- Remove job-related materials and debris, including vacuuming or sweeping if installing the same surface type.
- Clean up the job site upon completion.
What Installation Does Not Include
- Removal, haul-away and disposal of old or existing flooring (available for purchase separately).
- Disconnect or reconnect baseboard heaters, gas appliances or dishwashers.
- Disconnect, reconnect, or relocate (move or hide) any alarm system wires, telephone wires, or internet wires.
- Disconnect and reconnect pedestal sinks or vanities.
- Moving personal items, boxes, or specialty furniture items such as antiques, pool tables, pianos, aquariums, safes, and exercise equipment.
- Repair or replacement of scuffed or scraped pre-existing floor molding.
- Work in homes located in historical districts (Lowe’s does not perform installations in these locations).
Unforeseen Work & Additional Charges
Once your existing flooring is removed, installers may discover issues requiring additional work. This can include:
- Subfloor preparation (plywood or concrete)
- Underlayment repair
- Moisture barrier installation
- Rotten or damaged wood
- Structural concerns
These repairs may incur extra charges and will be discussed with you before proceeding.
HOA & Property Regulations
Customers are responsible for informing Lowe’s if their property is governed by a Homeowners Association (HOA) and ensuring the project complies with all regulations and covenants.
Installation services are guaranteed by Lowe’s labor limited warranty and performed by licensed Independent Contractors.
