Ask the customer about tack strips

If a customer has decided to remove their old carpet themselves for any reason, please remember to discuss tack strips! To avoid delays on installation day, we need to know if existing tack is down or not. If we have detailed to do the removal but the customer decides to do it themselves, they may not know what to do with the tack. So, please ask if they have removed it or if they plan to for any reason. If we are installing new carpet we prefer they leave the existing tack strip because it can be reused. If we are installing a hardsurface where there once was carpet, that tack needs to be removed. If the customer removed it already, not knowing they should leave it for new carpet, that is ok, we just need to know so we can be sure to have enough for the new installation!
